Political media consultants do not have confidence in online marketing
August 14, 2008
HCD Research and E-Voter Institute reported a disconnect between campaign media consultants and what voters expect.
According to a study of 4,800 voters and 180 media consultants:
- 60% of voters expected that they try to reach them online using webcasts, blogs and podcasts only 3-11% of campaign consultants said these methods are effective.
- Only 5% of media consultants believe online ads to be effective
- Even though these consultants do not believe in online tools for their clients, 70% of media consultants were part of a social network and 40% maintain a blog
