Gender differences: Who calls the shots at home?

According to the PEW Research Center, women “call the shots” at home.

According to the study:

• In more couples, the woman makes the decision in the majority of areas (43% - Woman Makes more decisions, 31% joint, 26% man makes more decisions)
• For big household decisions, couples are equally divided (46% jointly make decisions)
• Women are somewhat more likely than men to manage household finances (38% vs. 30%)
• Older couples make more decisions together
• Earning more does not mean deciding more
