iPhone sales surpass Motorola RAZR in 3Q 2008

According to market research firm NPD, iPhone 3G sales have surpassed Motorola RAZR to become the best selling handset to adult consumers in 3Q 2008.
- iPhone 3G was the best selling handset
- Domestic handset unit sales fell 15% year over year (32 million units)
- Sales revenue fell 10 percent ($2.9 Billion)
- Average selling price increased 6 percent ($88)
- Four of the five best selling handsets were optimized for internet access, messaging and email
